Lecture at the Chair for e-Commerce deployment and security (doc. dr. Rok Bojanc, ZZI)

Dr Bojanc presented the many advantages of using e-business, including automation of procedures in the sales and purchasing process and more efficient communication between buyer and supplier. E-commerce can reduce the time and cost of business processes by enabling faster information flow and reducing the possibility of errors in manual data entry.

In addition, students were introduced to different communication protocols and models for the exchange of electronic documents, which are important to ensure secure and reliable data exchange between business partners. This includes standard protocols such as EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) as well as newer technologies such as Web Services.

Students also learn how electronic document storage can be integrated into other software solutions and networks, such as document management, inventory management and customer management. Electronic document storage makes it easy to find, store and share documents, which can significantly improve business efficiency and reduce the risk of document loss.

We were pleased to pass on our knowledge of e-business to the students. Knowledge of e-business is extremely important in this day and age, as the use of electronic ways of doing business is only increasing. Let us hope that the students will successfully apply this knowledge in their future work and thus contribute to the successful operation of businesses.
